Vienna

The trip:

We went to Vienna by bus. We drove approximately for 3 hours. We thought the journey was a bit too long, especially when you compare it to the time we had in Vienna. So maybe it would have been better to go by train.

The cathedral:

We first visited cathedral. We thought it was beautiful but a bit boring to spend so much time in there. We didn´t think the ´trip´ to the catacombs was necessary because we´re not really into dead people. After we visited the catacombs we climbed upstairs to go to the roof. Once we were there we thought it was beautiful but we didn´t like to climb the spiral stairs.

The lunch:

After we visited the cathedral we had to walk for 20 minutes to the place where we were about to lunch. We ate the Austrian Winerschnitzel mit Pommes (fries). But we thought it would have been better to just split up and lunch by ourselves because eating in the restaurant took a long time and we would have liked to have more time to explore Vienna. The Schnitzel was good though.

The museums:

We first visited the Leopold museum. We liked it because the art was really beautiful and interesting. Secondly we visited the Kunsthistoristorisches Museum. It was okay but we think visiting the first museum would have been enough.  

Free time:

Marta:

I went to some shops and I bought some souvenirs but I really think that we could have had more free time because we wanted to do more sightseeing.

Maaike:

I went to the Schmetterlingshaus with my teachers and the other people from the Netherlands. We had some coffee and ate a Topfenstrudel. But we had too little time to really see Vienna. It would have been nice to have more time so we could go sightseeing or by souvenirs.

Our opinion:

We both really liked Vienna and thought it was beautiful and we want to come back because we didn´t see everything we wanted to see.
